Hello there!

I figured I’d post a brief explanation how and why things are different now. If you’ve been to my blog before, you may not have recognized the page when it loaded. That’s because I’ve decided to switch it up. The old site was running Wordpress, and while I do believe that to be very well suited for easy-to-use websites, I feel like I’m unnecessarily increasing site load times by not using static pages. The way I use this blog not only doesn’t require dynamic web pages, using them feels like a waste. It’s not like I’m embedding videos or anything.

If I ever do decide to do something with this website that warrants using dynamic pages, I might change this again. Until then, this blog is running on static pages generated by Jekyll.
